Expressive Interfaces: Conductive threads & LED
The beginning of class was really enjoyable, we were privilege to be taught by Jingwen who is an alumni of ITP and a successful wearable technology artist. The array of items she shared with us opens up a pandora of possibilities in the realm of wearable/fashion technology.
Taking up this module made me question the difference between wearable technology and fashion technology. Are there any difference between these two? What is the definition for each of the element? It is important to ask these questions before delving on to making, creating and merging with Internet Of Things.
In class exercise
LED with a switch
For this exercise, I was interested in lighting up a cap that I bought from the dollar store. The idea is to create a piece where the user will wear the cap and the light will be activated when the cap is worn.
