THE CONVENIENCE OF DELIVERY, STRESS FREE

There are a lot of delivery providers out in the market, but with the high demand for such services, the brand would like to have a dedicated delivery catered solely for their consumers, removing third-party deliveries, giving customers a personal approach towards their service.

This project, which is the first version of the development, aimed to reduce onboarding time and encourage more deliverers which we call them 'DeliverySans' to choose our service among others. Designing a simpler, clearer interface — by listing actionable tasks as cards — the new design helped reduce frustration among DeliverySans and minimize error & mistakes while guiding our users throughout their delivery journey.

THE PROBLEM

There is a lack of a good communication platform for the delivery person. Most of the platforms that are being used only provide the delivery address and people who deliver the food are often blamed for not communicating with customers. There is also a lack of proper transaction between the delivery person and the customer when food is delivered.

USERFLOW

We learned that it was important for our DeliverySan to be guided throughout the delivery process from picking up to delivering customers order. Hence we paid special attention on the application, ensuring that the onboarding process is made easy and the guide to the customer's drop off point is regarded as our top priority.

ONBOARDING PROCESS

It was paramount that the users understand how the application works without fumbling through it. Our onboarding process is simple to use, users upon verification of the account will be able to select any job delivery offers within their close proximity. They are also able to choose the mode of delivery that they will be using to pre-empt customers on the possible time taken on the transport mode used. All DeliverySan will be able to view past job histories and accept new ones at a click of a button.

COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT

Communication between a DeliverySan, the customer and the customer representative is very important. It is all about teamwork and the application serves not only as a guiding tool for DeliverySan but also a way to communicate effectively.

WHAT I LEARNED

Creating a UI design for delivery personnel is very challenging. I have to understand their situation and put a heavy emphasis on emphasizing the user. It is also important to realize their main problem, address it and get feedback from the user. I also learned that creating an easy communication between the user and customer maintains a good image for the business.
